Ballistic HC Lives Up To Its Name With Military Approval
Ballistic has been augmenting their signature line of heavy-duty iPhone cases in recent days, offering the Ballistic HC for AT&T and Verizon customers–and now the company has added street cred to back up its name.
In my February 9th article on the Ballistic HC for Verizon, I joked that while the case isn’t bulletproof, it is very tough. At the time, I didn’t realize just how serious the folks at Ballastic are about their name. It turns out the Ballistic HC is the only iPhone 4 case which has been granted military specification certification (MIL-STD 810G).
The certification means the HC will meet or exceed military requirements for durability tests such as shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity and dust protection. Ballistic Vice president of Business Development Adam Stubin says “There are a lot of fashion companies out there that attempt to add a rugged case to their line-up.
