Carbonite Ups its Features, Now Supports External Drives

Everybody’s favorite backup service has just gotten a little bit better and more compatible. Carbonite’s online backup service has just been updated with new features–including support for external drives and a new Courier Recovery service. For those with gigantic backups, you can now order an actual physical copy of your contents, which will be couriered to your doorstep. Carbonite is a great online backup solution that takes the thinking out of backups, as it works in the background and keeps your data nice and secure…and most importantly, away from your physical location. It’s still a great idea to backup locally on an external drive; but having a remote system like Carbonite working in the background provides that extra security, should your computer and hard drives be stolen or destroyed.
