Apple Launches Thunderbolt to FireWire Cable, Ships in 1-3 Days

When Apple announced the new MacBook Pro with Retina display, they also announced two new accessories: a thunberbolt to Gigabit ethernet adapter (already available) and a Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter which is now available courtesy of their online store for $29. The new adapter is estimated to ship within 1-3 business days and allows users to connect their Thunderbolt-equipped Mac to a FireWire device with a small compact cable, and eases the loss of a dedicated firewire port on the new laptop,
