This is exciting!
The original Nexus One was an experiment in selling directly to consumers, and is largely considered to be a sales flop. Google apparently spent the Nexus S year licking its wounds, but now it’s back.
New Nexus. New Web store (Google Play). New Low off-contract price.
The Galaxy Nexus can be yours for the low low price of $399. Completely unlocked and ready for duty on either AT&T or T-Mobile. That’s an incredible price for a cutting-edge phone which wont tie you down with a two year contract.
Hell, for the price this ALMOST makes sense to buy as a fancy media player without cell phone service…

In the world of motor sports, the skills necessary for gymkhana are almost contradictory: Cars need to have precision handling for the technical demands of the timed course, while at the same time be loose enough to drift and spin when required. When Traxxas was tasked with creating a licensed version of the Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta, they had to craft a vehicle that was versatile enough to handle all of the demands of a gymkhana road course; unfortunately, when we think of something being “versatile,” we usually think”Jack of all trades, master of none.”
This is NOT the case with the Traxxas.
Read on, and find out how this 1/16 scale beast will satisfy both the road racer AND the drifter in the family…without making any compromises.

If Hotel Brussels’ test pilot is any indication, your next hotel stay may be a bit more advanced. Working with OpenWays, the hotel has installed a smartphone-based solution which enables guests to skip the front desk and use their smartphones as a room key. Hotel Brussels’ 424 rooms will feature these new locks that have been integrated with Mobile Key by OpenWays, opening the door (pun intended) to more “digitally friendly” travel. Aside from the positive “green” element (using your smartphone instead of a card key cuts down on plastics), this should also take some of the burden off of front desk workers everywhere, as fewer guests will be taking the walk of shame to replace their keys.

Have you ever been frustrated using FaceTime with your family because: A) The folks on the other end of the video chat can’t seem to hold their iPhone steady or B) Everyone keeps wandering out of frame? How about trying to shoot a video with your iPhone but your unsteady hand keeps ruining the shot? The folks at Motrr feel your pain and have come up with an incredible solution–and it’s called Galileo. This motorized, robotic mount for your iPhone (4 or 4S) or iPod Touch (4th gen) not only makes taking sophisticated video ridiculously easy, it’s also pretty much reinvented the conference call. Galileo provides full 360 degree rotation of your iDevice, as well as 90 degree movement to automatically rotate your device from portrait to landscape; so if your on a FaceTime chat with a group of friends or family, they can simply place their iPhone or iPod Touch in Galileo, and you can control their camera from your end of the conversation using touch gestures on your iDevice. Creative filmmakers can also mount an iPhone on Galileo and use their iPad to not only monitor the shot, but control the movement as well. Galileo will retail for $129.95 when it comes out this Spring, but those that get in through Kickstarter can nab one for $85. You really have to see Galileo in action to truly appreciate it–and a video, as well as the full PR, awaits you after the jump…

Not all custom PCs are created equal…and Digital Storm is looking to redefine the gaming PC with their new Aventum. Rather than slapping some new hardware in an existing chassis, DS has designed the Aventum from the ground up–including a custom case that features a proprietary “exhaust chamber” that helps keep its components cool. This new exhaust chamber has a bit of help keeping things cool in the form of the award-winning Cryo-TEC liquid cooling system and 13 customizable fans. As for the rest of the system, even the base Aventum model features an Intel Core I7 processor and NVIDIA GTX 680, as well as a minimum of 16GB of RAM–a fry cry from what we’ve come to expect from an “entry level” system. Of course, all of this power comes at a price–$3859, to be exact, for the “Level 1″ model, with the top-of-the-line Aventum maxing out at a staggering $7856. You can click past the jump for all of the specs and details–but you may want to have a drool-bucket nearby…
