Sirius XM has done a major channel shuffle in an effort to align channel numbers across both the Sirius and XM spectrum. Since the merger in the U.S., a lot of adjustments have been made to the channel lineup, picking the best of the best from either service and bringing them over so that subscribers of one service or the other could benefit from the content. This latest alignment brings channels even closer together, making them virtually identical on both services; gone will be the days of talking about Opie and Anthony to your friend with Sirius and trying to figure out what channel they’re on on that other service. Some channels will still have unique numbers on Sirius or XM, so check siriusxm.com, as they’ve made it pretty easy to find the channels you like – plus radio presets will (or should) automatically migrate to the new channel so that you’re not too confused when you go about your day.

One of the last sports to broadcast only in Standard Definition is finally making the leap to HD. You would have thought that one of the premiere sports in the world would already be in HD, but that has not been the case until now. Starting this season, the entire World Feed will be fed in HD– starting with the Australian Grand Prix this March. Local providers will still have the choice of whether or not they want to carry the HD, feed but the BBC has already said they’ll carry the HD feed in the UK; Speed in the U.S. has confirmed the same.
