EverQuest Going Free to Play

Yes…everyone knows that World of Warcraft is the most successful MMO ever created; but let’s not forget that it was Sony’s EverQuest that started it all. Released back in 1997, EverQuest gave gamers their first taste of what a fully fleshed-out MMO could be, bringing millions of players around the world together to quest online–and now, you’ll be able to experience the game without a monthly subscription fee. As you’d imagine, there’s still going to be a pay model for extra content; but there’s still a whole to like about a free-to-play Everquest–except, of course, the hundreds of hours you’re likely to lose to it. Microsoft Gives Birth to Flight – and it’s Free to Play

Flight enthusiasts look out- Microsoft is in the giving mood this post-holiday season, and it begins with offering their latest Flight Simulator title for free this Spring. The game is called “Flight” and is the next generation Flight Sim from Microsoft. Whether you’re rocking a joystick or complete cockpit setup, those that have been waiting for Microsoft’s next flyer won’t have to wait too much longer. Of course, there’s a bit of a catch; want more planes, regions, customizations? You’ll have to spend some cash to get those on board once the free version starts to seem a bit repetitive; but still, getting the basic game for free is great news for simulated flight lovers everywhere.
