Nintendo is giving Pokémon fans another reason to pick up  Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 as quickly as possible after it’s Oct. 7 launch. Anyone who connects to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with either game before Nov. 12 will receive the mythical Pokémon Genesect. This Bug and Steel type Pokémon is capable of adjusting its power level based on its foe and comes with a unique signature move called Techno Blast.

Nintendo has just released new information on Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2–specifically about the new Pokémon World Tournament mode, which allows players to take on Gym Leaders and Champions from previous Pokémon games. Players will need to defeat all opponents in order to win the tournament and will have to fight through single battles, double battles and even triple battles. Nintendo will also use the DS WiFi connection to pick the best players and teams from the tournament and distribute them for battle.

Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will be out October 7 for DS, DSi, DSi XL and in 2D on 3DS and 3DS XL. Click past the jump for the full PR…

Coming off the record-breaking popularity of the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games, Nintendo of America Inc. announced today that two new Pokémon titles, Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, are coming to North America in 2012. Fans can anticipate plenty of new surprises when the games launch this fall.

Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will be available for the Nintendo DS family of systems (the games can also be played in 2D on Nintendo 3DS systems).
